the Y offers membership assistance tho people who cannot afford to pay the full cost of a general membership..do you think those people should have been excluded from any of the facilities you as another general member were entitled to?

That's rediculous...C'mon Rich, you throwing anything you can up against wall and hoping something will stick.

And, if the folks that are going to be living at the condo unit don't have a problem with the situation, why should you or anyone else?

Did I miss something? Are the low income folks making the complaints? Or, is this another crusader out to get their name in the news? Some people need to mind their own business.

Based on my experience renting and owning in Paris, it would make more sense to mix up the different types of housing rather than having them on separate floors with separate entrances and facilities.

Things must be very different in France. I don't know any person that would willingly want section 8 housing mixed into their living facility. The problem in the US is that they don't separate the good element poor from the bad element poor. Section 8 housing in the US is not properly run.

well lets expand it....paved roads for the people with expensive homes on the street. the owners of the smaller homes have to park at the mall and walk home..as for the renters...they have to crawl on glass bottle

in my view ..if the entrance was the same who would be able to identify owners from renters? what about renters who renting from owners ?

Renters renting from owners will be paying higher rates because they will be living in the expensive section of the building.

The two separate areas of the building are SEPARATE. Not even any of the wiring is shaed between the two. The two afreas of the building are set up so that they can be totally managed by two different companies. Again, the renters will not have pride of ownership. If the shared lobby, pool or gym is vandalized by the renters, is it fair to ask the owners to help pay for it.

Most of us who have rented at one time and then owned our own home know that there is a BIG difference between renting a place and owning a place in terms of pride of ownership.

How did the glass bottles get there? Bad rich people place bottles there? Bottle intact or broken bottles? Bottles thrown on ground right next to trash can? See it all the time in the big city of Balto.

And then we go back to the meat of the arguement....who pays? Ya don't get something for nothing. Well, some folks do, or expect as much...And, why can't people that have earned more money live better if they are willing to pay out of their own pocket for more amenities? Is this such a crime?
